I know that there are a lot of new beginner snowboarders on the channel and I want to give you guys some tips to progress from green to blue and onto black runs! The best place to practice your snowboard turns when you're a beginner is on the green slopes. Here you can build your confidence and get down the fundamentals. Put lot of mileage on your snowboard in the green area and work on adding speed and control to your turns. The hard part of your first blue run is dealing with the steepness and speed. A common mistake is for people to lean back toward their tale on the first attempts. Take your front hand and point it down toward the snow to get your weight forward on your snowboard and easily make the turn. Being able to control your speed evenly on both edge will take you past the beginner snowboard stages and set you up for the more difficult snowboard runs. Finally when you arrive at a black diamond the steepness can be intimidating. The key is to use your whole body to quickly turn your snowboard quickly down the black diamond run. Pick the right conditions to attempt your first black diamon
