As some of you guys may know there is an alternate variation to do a lot of the tricks that you already know, that variation is called the "hard way". You can do hard way tricks for both jump and rail tricks, and the simplest way I can put it is to begin the trick by taking off on the opposite edge you normally would, or by approaching the rail feature from the opposite side. For example, a hard way frontside 180 on snow would be the same as a regular frontside 180 except you would be starting the trick by taking off on your toe edge rather than your heel edge. For rail tricks the identifying factor for hard way is the fact that you will be jumping up and over the rail. So for a hardway frontside 180 on to a rail, you would still be spinning a frontside rotation, except you would start the trick with the rail in front of you rather than behind you like on a typical frontside 180. I hope this video gives you some new ideas on ways to challenge yourself on your snowboard, and help to learn some new tricks. Thanks for watching.
