The tenth installment of our Morton Buildings Team Spotlight video series focuses on the 2019 World of Outlaws Champion, Brandon Sheppard!
Since his first full season at the controls of the Rocket Chassis house car in 2017, there’s been no driver more dominant on tour than Sheppard. Team owner Mark Richards and the Rocket1 Racing crew have backed Sheppard’s 49 Feature wins over the past three seasons and set several new records across the Dirt Late Model world. Now earning the team’s sixth World of Outlaws title in 2019 and second of his own driving career, Sheppard has great appreciation for his guys in the pits.
Crew Chief Danny White joined team Rocket back in 2014, showcasing his technical abilities he learned from previous race teams. Austin Hargrove and Joel Rogers joined just before Sheppard did in late 2016, serving in the support/maintenance roles that keeps the blue No. 1 rolling day-in and day-out. Together, they keep Sheppard’s at-track schedule free so he can focus solely on what he needs to do in the driver’s seat.
