Brace yourselves for a salty landing!
It’s not every day that you get to see someone flying below the surface of the Earth. That is exactly what Red Bull Air Force Team members Jon Devore, Mike Swanson and Andy Farrington managed to pull off!
The jump took place from approximately 1,865 meters above Panorama road overlooking the Dead Sea, which happens to be -430 meters below sea level. As the athletes took turns challenging each other in getting as close as possible to the ground to cross the Zero level barrier – marked by the flag of Jordan- in a very daring move, the parachutes were opened at -170 meters below sea level for the jumpers to eventually swoop land on the surface of one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world.
